Course: 1.1 CFK for Infants and Toddlers

INTRODUCTION:
In this curriculum, oral health is presented as an ongoing part of preschool education and includes classroom activities and parent and education materials for use in parent meetings and home visits. Cavity Free Kids was specifically designed for use in Head Start and ECEAP Programs, but has since been expanded to include all audiences that work with children. Washington Dental Service Foundation combined the expertise an experienced childhood and parent educator and a dental hygienist with a long history of working in public health, to develop this curriculum. This abbreviated introductory course will motivate dental professionals to work with their community groups to better the oral health literacy of those around them.

Dental licensees who complete this training can earn 1.5 CEU.
