As you know, oral health is critical to overall health. Nearly 1 in 7 Pennsylvanians experience an intellectual or developmental disability. Historically, this population has struggled to find dental providers who are willing to evaluate and treat their dental disease. Recently, the American Dental Association revised its code of professional conduct to include the duty to provide dental healthcare, or make an appropriate referral, to patients experiencing disabilities. PCOH and Achieva are interested to hear your thoughts, concerns, and, most importantly, how we can help providers build more inclusive dental practices and keep Pennsylvanians with disabilities healthy! This session is intended for dentists and MA-registered PHDHPs.
Although the listening sessions are divided by PA’s Health Choices regions, registration is flexible if your Service Zone’s scheduled date/time conflicts.
